BANGI, 16 May - On May 15 to 16, He & She Coffee Shop opened for trial at Level 6, Bangunan Pusanika, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

“Today is the first day that we open at UKM, we really wish the students here are enjoyed having coffee time with us, we provide multiple caffeine, and non-caffeine drinks, light snacks, and desserts, such as cappuccino, milkshakes, macaroons, and nasi lemak,” The cashier of He & She Coffee UKM, said Mohammad Daniel.

Mr. Daniel added, this coffee shop is only open in the universities in Malaysia and except SME Bank and KPJ Tawakkal outlets. It has been opened in more than five universities, such as Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Universiti Malaya (UM), and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
According to He & She Coffee's official website (heandshe.coffee/about), the founder, Zulkiflee Yusof, an entrepreneur who graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy with Honours from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in 1997, said, “The core concept of He & She Coffee is to create opportunities for business and social uplift for students and aspiring entrepreneurs.”

“The fancy new coffee shop decorates the UKM campus where we, as students, can also have a comfortable and relaxing place to study and socialize,” A second-year student from the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEP), said Jiao Caiqi.
In addition, a first-year student from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSK), Zhi Jiajun, said, “There is actually a coffee shop at Akademia Siber Teknopolis UKM (AST), but it is too far from my faculty, and this coffee shop is located right next to FSSK, which is convenient for us to drink coffee in the afternoon when we feel sleepy.”
He & She Coffee's furnishing style features a modern minimalist aesthetic with elements of comfort and allure. The interior of the cafe shop is designed with clean lines and comfortable seating. The iron tables, chairs, and plush sofa sets create a relaxed atmosphere for students to enjoy their coffee.
The overall decoration tends to be sleek and modern, with attention to detail to create a visually pleasing environment. This coffee shop has wall art and decorative plants on each table to add character to the space.
As for the logo, He & She Coffee uses a simple and stylish design. The logo consists of the words “He & She” written in a distinctive font in black with a yellow background. The letters are capitalized and aligned horizontally. The ampersand symbol (&) is stylized to stand out, incorporating elements of coffee beans or cups. The logo is minimalist yet recognizable, reflecting the modern aesthetic of this cafe shop.
