Malaysia’s First International Tattoo Expo

KUALA LUMPUR, 7 DEC - International Malaysia Tattoo Expo was held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (Hall 5) for the first time from 29th November till 1st December 2019 and in making of many years to come.


Founded by Carlos Micheal (the owner of Koiyak Gloves) and the series of Sabah International Tattoo Convention, this highly anticipated event was celebrated all aspect of the art of tattoo where the industry exhibitors and enthusiast from across the world was brought together representing all various modern and traditional tattoo styles with their machines and traditional tools here.


The exhibition was featured some of the world’s finest renowned artist of traditional tattooing method from the country origin such as (Borneo) Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, Switzerland, Japan, New Zealand, Philippines and along with modern machine style tattoo artist and much more.


This was Malaysia’s first international and biggest tattoo expo that has ever been organised by gathering tattoo artist and participants from all over the world in aiming to achieve 60 countries to participate in Malaysia Tattoo Expo this year.


Ylann, on one of the Malaysian tattoo artists said that this expo is a great platform for them to showcase their talent at international level.


“I was looking forward for this expo for a long time as this was a great platform for showcase our talent and Malaysian style of tattoo in an international level” said Ylann, one of the Malaysian tattoo artists.


Sasha Aleksandra a tattoo artist from Croatia said that she was mesmerized by the level of tattoo art that was different from the place she use to work in Croatia.


“I was dazzled by the style of art that Malaysian artist showcased as they bring and show Malaysian culture through their tattoo art”
