Sarawak Gynaecologist Create A ‘Unique Condom’

Sibu, 28th October – A Malaysian Obstetrician and Gynecologist had break the worlds record by creating the world’s first unisex condom whereby to believe will empower people to take better control of their sexual health regardless of their sex or sexual orientation.
This Wondaleaf Unisex Condom can be worn by females or males which is made from a medical grade material that usually used as a dressing for injuries and wounds. Dr John Tang Ing Ching is the first Malaysian doctor that proves to the world with his new creation ‘unisex condom’ that no one ever done this before.
Dr Tang is also a founder of a company, named Twin Catalyst Sdn Bhd and now even run his own Tang Specialist Clinic in Sibu, Sarawak stated that this astounding idea of Wondaleaf Unisex Condom had invented in 2014 as a barrier that balances condom thickness, protection and affordability. Since then, the invention was successful in being awarded about RM 3 million in federal innovation grants. Dr Tang never give up on his own research and development for a better condom to help female from STDs and unwanted pregnancies.
The condoms is using polyurethane, a material used in transparent wound dressings that is thin and flexible yet strong and waterproof. He said the Wondaleaf condom had gone through several rounds of clinical research and testing and would be available commercially via the firm’s website in December this year.
“It’s basically a regular condom with an adhesive covering. It’s a condom with an adhesive covering that attaches to the vagina or penis, as well as covering the adjacent area for extra protection,” he said.
Dr Tang also added some information, “Based on the number of clinical trials we have conducted, I am quite optimistic that given time it will be a meaningful addition to the many contraceptive methods used in the prevention of unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.” Wondaleaf Unisex Condom's default configuration is an internal condom, but the centrally located non-adhesive pouch can be inverted to become an external condom. It features an extended adhesive shield that covers the entire external genitalia to prevent direct skin contact. So far, this Wondaleaf Unisex Condom is only sell in Malaysia but haven’t yet sold to others international country. Although this Unisex Condom haven’t sold to others country but their product ‘Wondaleaf’ now is very well-known to the outside of their world even in all platform of media about this unisex condom.
Every adult woman or man no need worried about the expenses because each box of Wondaleaf contains two condoms which will cost RM 14.99 only. The average price for a dozen condoms in Malaysia is RM 20 to RM 40. The most surprising words that Dr Tang said is "Once you put it on, you often don't realise that it's there," referring to dressings made from the material that he tested in his lab.
