BANGI, 16 Nov – After a historic election that saw over 78 million people gave the victory to Joe Biden, sitting United States President Donald Trump took to Twitter to voice his grievances and continues a series of baseless election fraud allegations, garnering over 100,000 retweets and multiple reactions from online Twitter users.

Biden currently has won 290 of the 270 election votes needed to win the election, according to the Associated Press, while Trump continues his onslaught of allegations of election fraud and has yet to acknowledge defeat.

The Trump campaign has also filed unsuccessful lawsuits in the states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, and Georgia claiming various discrepancies in the vote counting process. Trump has lost in all the states above, with the exception of Georgia, where Biden leads with a small margin of 20,000 votes.

Most of the lawsuits brought on by the Trump campaign were dismissed or withdrawn due to lack of evidence or legal basis, according to the Financial Times.

Trump recently tweeted out “I concede nothing” on his twitter account, backtracking a previous tweet acknowledging Biden’s victory and continued to baselessly claim election fraud allegations. Twitter has flagged Trump’s tweets as disputed, as Twitter tries to combat misinformation regarding the 2020 US Elections.

Twitter user @murray_nyc replied to the flagged tweet, saying “Trump’s refusal to admit defeat is nothing more than a fundraising scam and a consequence of his malignant narcissism,” “But at the end of the day it’s irrelevant whether Trump concedes or not (he never will) because on January 20 he’s being evicted from the White House!” @murray_nyc replied. @murray_nyc’s reply received over 9000 likes and 233 replies.

Another user, @HKrassenstein also emphasized on Trump’s loss, stating “No, he (Biden) won in the eyes of the US Constitution. And you will be thrown out of the White House by the Secret Service.”

However, some users stand in support of Trump, repeating Trump’s baseless allegations of election fraud. User @demountthehorse claimed “They wouldn’t let our Poll Watchers and Observers into the Counting Rooms. We win on that alone!”

User @LabyrinthWeaver said “Trump now has more flagged tweets than he has had bankruptcies,” referring to Trump’s many tweets that are flagged by Twitter for misinformation.

Biden and Vice-President-Elect Kamala Harris are currently blocked from transitional funds by Emily Murphy, who stated that the election has not yet been decided.
