B.I Is Back On Screen After 2 Years

SEOUL, 1 June – Formal iKon member B.I (also known as Kim Han Bin) is finally dropping his album and back on the big screen after he dropped out from iKon due to a scandal.

In the year 2019, Dispatch released an exclusive report that B.I attempting to purchase drugs. The report included a text conversation with the drug dealer. On the same day, B.I announced his departure from the group iKon and the agency (YG Entertainment) through his Instagram account. In the statement, he mentioned, “It is true I wanted to rely on something that I shouldn’t have had any interest in due to going through a hard and painful time. However, I was too scared and fearful to do it.”

In the statement that was made through his Instagram account, he inquired about drugs but did not go through with the purchase. Yet, he still leaves iKon for the group's future possibility and terminates his exclusive contract with YG Entertainment.

After almost a year of investigation, South Korea’s Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency and the country’s National Forensic Service proved that B.I is innocent.No illegal drugs were detected in B.I body sample. From the day that B.I was proved that he was accused by the reporter, his fans can’t wait for his comeback on the screen.

Although it took a long time for B.I to be on the screen and his comeback does bring controversy in the country, but ID (B.I fandom name) are very excited for the happy news. Not only the album, B.I also formed his own agency (131 label) and became his own exclusive director for the agency.

The album Waterfall included 12 tracks with the title song of the album Waterfall. He also included tracks that express how he thanks his fans that never leave him after the controversy. Besides, the album also featured other artists such as LeeHi and Tablo from EpikHigh.
