Young Champs At The National Robotics Competition Malaysia

BANGI, 20 OCT – The National MakeX National Robotics Competition 2019 was held at Dewan Tun Abdul Razak (DECTAR), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) over the weekend from 12th till 13th October with participants from all over Peninsular and East part of Malaysia.
MakeX Robotics Competition 2019 was organized by Telaga Biru Education, co-organized by CRYsTal, UKM and collaborating with UKM for the second time in the year.
The MakeX Robotics Competition was initiated by a world-renowned company teaching equipment development in Youth STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) known as Makeblock in the year 2016 and has marked over 20 countries by the year 2018.
This year with the theme of ‘Courageous Traveler’, MakeX focuses on improving the perception of younger generation through their knowledge on designing, software programming, precise control and strategy analysis.
Participants represented Sarawak, The Asrama Malaysia (AMAL) from Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang (KTDTHB), Miri was announced the grand winner of the MakeX Competition 2019 and they are expected to represent the country in the MakeX World Championship 2019 which will be held in Guangzhou, China this upcoming end of November.
According to Mr Rooban Arumugam, Mentor represented Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Saujana, Johor Bahru shared, “it’s my first experience to join an international level robotics competition and indeed a great platform to gain new knowledges” said the young teacher who brought two of his students for the competition.
Deputy Director of Sports and Arts Education Division, Tuan Suhaimi Sun Abdullah from the Ministry of Education Malaysia attended the closing ceremony of MakeX Robotics Competition 2019 on 13th of October in DECTAR, UKM along with Datuk Dr Haji Zahazan Mohamed, Management Director of Telaga Biru Sdn Bhd, Prof. Ir. Dr. Shahrir Abdullah, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, UKM and Dr. Mohd Faisal Ibrahim, Program Director of CRYsTal, UKM
