DENGKIL, 22 Apr - The Halal Chinese restaurant that opened in savanna caused a stir with its unique barbecue and hotpot buffet concept, attracting a wide variety of crowds, including many international students from the neighboring areas.


Alif, which officially opened its doors to diners on March 22, 2024, specializes in a blend of barbecue and hotpot dining with authentic flavors and halal-certified ingredients, providing customers with a culinary experience unlike any other. 


The restaurant's ambiance is warm and inviting, with spacious seating areas perfect for gatherings with friends and family. As customers step inside ALIF, they are greeted by the aroma of sizzling barbecue and the sight of colorful ingredients ready to be cooked in the bubbling hot pots.


From succulent marinated meat kebabs to fresh seafood and crisp vegetables, Alif prioritizes quality, flavor, and variety, catering to both Chinese and Muslim diners.

"We've received an overwhelmingly positive response from our customers since we opened," Zack said." People appreciate the fact that they can enjoy their favorite Chinese dishes without having to worry about whether it aligns with their religious beliefs."

One of the main attractions of ALIF is its popularity among international students from nearby universities. Drawn by the restaurant's halal certification and diverse menu options, students flock to ALIF to enjoy delicious Chinese cuisine in a welcoming environment.


Sun yu, a student at UKM, expressed her enthusiasm for the new restaurant. "I like that Alif serves Halal Chinese food,"she said.


Wen yue went on to say, "It's nice to have a place where we can enjoy authentic Chinese flavors while adhering to our dietary preferences."


In addition to its delicious food, ALIF also prides itself on its affordable pricing, making it accessible to students and families on a budget. With its generous buffet offerings and student-friendly prices, ALIF has quickly become a favorite dining destination for both locals and visitors alike.


"Alif's' BBQ + hotpot buffet is fantastic. It has become our go-to place to meet up with friends, the food is delicious, and the price is student-friendly at only RM45.50," Xiu qin , 20-year-old computer science major from ukm, said.

"I love the concept of combining barbecue and fondue, it's a great way to enjoy multiple flavours in one meal." A customer, Aisyah Sofea Binti Abdul Jalil, who dined at the outlet, said.

Alif, with its irresistible blend of flavors, warm hospitality, and halal-friendly menu, is poised to become a popular dining destination in Savanna.
